Record! NIT Patna student bags pay package of Rs. 1.8 crore from Amazon

Abhishek Kumar, the final year computer science student at NIT Patna bagged a whopping package of Rs. 1.8 crore from Amazon.

Abhishek Kumar, a student at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna has bagged a record pay package of Rs. 1.8 crore from Amazon. He is a final year computer science student. The institute has proudly shared the news through its Twitter handle. NIT Patna wrote, “We are so incredibly proud of you. Congratulations! Your sincere effort deserves this success, all the best for the future.” Kumar had appeared for the coding test conducted by Amazon last year in December. After qualifying, he appeared for three rounds of interviews at the international level in the month of April. He received the final call from Amazon, Germany on April 21.

Despite the bad effect of Covid-19 on campus placements, this was a record-breaking year for the NIT Patna with 130 per cent overall placements. It seems like offers are returning to their pre-pandemic levels. The Covid-19 epidemic has put a lot of pressure on graduating students during the last two years as campuses were closed and placements were severely impacted. However, now the stability is slowly returning giving students a greater opportunity of securing employment of their preference.

Before Aditi, a Patna girl Sampreeti Yadav had received a package of Rs. 1.11 crore at tech giant Google. The 2022 placement season broke records for the past five years as the highest package bagged by an NIT Patna student before this year was 50-60 lakhs.

NIT Patna has secured 72nd position in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021. One can get admission to it by qualifying JEE Mains.
