NEW DELHI: Realme has confirmed the name of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Realme CEO Sky Li recently confirmed that the smartphone maker is planning to enter the high-end smartphone market. Li said that the company will now also focus on making smartphones priced over $800 (Rs 59,500).
Now, Li has confirmed the name of the first premium flagship smartphone from Realme. The first expensive smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer will be called — Realme GT 2 Pro.
“As the first creation under Realme’s most premium flagship GT Pro series, the Realme GT 2 Pro bears our mission to bring top-tier experience to our young customers with performance, design and camera – all beyond expectations. We have always been cognizant of our consumers’ needs, and are working towards developing best-in-class smartphones for Realme fans across the globe,” said Sky Li, Realme’s Founder and CEO.
Apart from the name, the company has not yet revealed any other details about the smartphone. However, a recent AnTuTu listing of the smartphone revealed that Realme GT 2 Pro may come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Realme is yet to officially announce the launch date of the Realme GT 2 Pro. When launched, it is said to be the first phone to run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
The alleged benchmark listing shows Realme GT 2 Pro with model number RMX3300. This is said to be one of the variants of Realme GT 2 Pro. The handset was earlier spotted online with model number RMX 3301, suggesting that there could be more than one variant of the device.
Realme GT 2 Pro expected specifications
Realme GT 2 Pro is rumoured to come with LPDDR5 RAM and may offer UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is expected to feature a 6.51-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate. The display is rumoured to come with 20:9 aspect ratio and 404 pixel density.
On the camera front, the device is tipped to offer a 50MP primary camera on the back. The phone’s camera may offer optical image stabilisation (OIS). At the front, the device may come with a 32MP selfie shooter.
