Real Madrid have completed the signing of Spanish rising star Noel Lopez from Deportivo.

The 19-year-old forward has caught the eye of Los Blancos after being one the biggest talents to come out of Deportivo’s academy in recent years, according to Football Espana

Already a mainstay of Spain’s under-19 national side, Lopez excelled for Deportivo in the Spanish third tier last season, making 28 appearances and scoring four goals.

Lopez is expected to begin life at Real Madrid in the club’s Castilla reserve side, who play at the same tier of football as Deportivo but in a different division.

However with the club having shown an inclination to bring through and sign younger talent, Lopez is expected to start making a case to join the first-team squad before long.

Gareth Bale has already left Real this summer, with Isco also expected to go. The club is also listening to offers for midfielders Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos.

With Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the twilight years of their careers, Lopez could eventually find himself featuring alongside French superstar Eduardo Camavinga in the Real midfield.

Other than a very public failed campaign to sign Kylian Mbappe and ongoing rumours linking them to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Real Madrid have had a relatively quiet transfer window so far.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are reportedly considering a shock bid for Tottenham forward and Premier League Golden Boot winner Son Heung-min.
