‘Rashtra Kavach OM’ and ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ box office collection day 4: The Aditya Roy Kapur and R Madhavan starrers register low first weekend numbers – Times of India

According to a report in boxofficeIndia.com, ‘Rashtra Kavach OM’ collected Rs 1.50 crore nett on its first Sunday taking its overall first-weekend collection to Rs 4.10 crore approximately. ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ also grossed Rs 1.90 crore nett on its first Sunday which took its overall three-day collection to Rs 3.85 crore approximately.

For the Aditya Roy Kapur starrer, the business has been better in the single screens of UP and Bihar. As far as the R Madhavan directorial is concerned, the film hasn’t done much in the Tamil Nadu belt, despite it originally being a Tamil film. However, the opening of the film has been better than bigger Tamil films like ‘Valimai’, ‘Beast’ and ‘Vikram’ but those were dubbed in Hindi.

‘Rashtra Kavach OM’ also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Jackie Shroff, Prakash Raj, Ashutosh Rana and Prachee Shah in pivotal roles while ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ featured Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo.

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Aditya spoke about how ‘Rashtra Kavach OM’ stands out from the other patriotic films. “I don’t watch a lot of films, so I wouldn’t be able to talk about the context. But what struck me about Rashtra Kavach Om was the first narration I had. While all the action and grand sets were in place, the film has a very emotional, intimate core. While patriotism is definitely one of the themes, it’s essentially a film about a family and what they go through”, he said.
