Ranveer Singh aka Rocky and Alia Bhatt aka Rani are going all out with the promotions of their upcoming movie. The duo attended a song launch in Delhi and will soon take off on a multi-city tour. As part of the promotions, the duo will team up with director Karan Johar to interact with over 50,000+ students across 100+ cities in India for India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N’s) ‘Back to School’ series.
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after a break of seven long years. Speaking about the movie, Ranveer Singh ad recently shared, “Karan is bringing back that kind of cinema that we have grown up on, that we have loved and that is such a big part of our life. I am sure that (for) a lot of you ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’, these are timeless classics that he created and which are such an integral part of our growing up years. Toh woh jo saare gun hai na, woh sab iss film me hai (All the qualities of those films are present here) – the colour, family, the songs, the happiness and joy. I really think that yeh ek aisi film hai jo logon ko khush kar dene wali hai (this is a film that will make everyone happy). When you walk out of the theatres, you will have a smile on your face.”
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ also stars Bollywood veterans Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 28.
