Rani Mukerji opens up on protecting Adira’s privacy, believes it is important for her daughter ‘to have a normal upbringing’ – Times of India
In a recent interaction on Kareena Kapoor’s show ‘What Women Want’, Rani opened up on how she has managed to keep her daughter away from the media glare, all these years. When Kareena exclaimed that she is sure that it entails a super power to do that, the Mardaani actor replied, “No, super power. I just very sweetly tell them (paps), please don’t take baby’s photos and they don’t. They are very sweet. And they have been like this right from the very beginning. Because they know Adi is a private person, I’m a private person.”
Rani also spoke about how she and her husband try to give Adira as normal a childhood as possible. She added, “For me it was very important for Adira to have a normal upbringing in school. Because already there is so much attention that a child normally gets, when you are a child of famous parents. It was important for me to make Adira realise she isn’t special because of who she is born to. She has to make herself special with what she would do in life.”
Rani is currently garnering critical acclaim for her role in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, directed by Ashima Chibber.
