Ranbir Kapoor reveals he felt ‘shy’ on first ever shoot with dad Rishi Kapoor, shares memories of VIRAL ad that also featured Sonam Kapoor and Tiger Shroff – Exclusive – Times of India

An old advertisement recently went viral where Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Tiger Shroff were spotted as toddlers with their famous fathers Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. This famous ad from the 80s was made by the Indian government to promote National Integration and brotherhood.

In a recent conversation with ETimes while promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir touched upon the memories of the shoot. But first he reflected on how rare his visits to his father Rishi Kapoor’s sets were. Ranbir said, “It was the first time I was facing the camera. I was very shy. My father never took us to any of his shoots. We were always kept away. A couple of times that we did manage to go to his shoots, we were bored because the same thing kept happening again and again. I never understood what was happening on the set.”
Ranbir recalled memories of shooting the ad with his father and added, “But that shoot happened in our bungalow. We were still making that house Krishna Raj, it wasn’t complete but we went to shoot there. I remember seeing my father sing on one side and the camera on the other side and Subhashji was there directing it all. I was very shy, looking down. I have a memory of it, but its a memory that makes me feel shy.” We asked Ranbir about his age when he shot this particular ad and he revealed, “I was probably 5 or 6 years old.”

Incidentally, Ranbir, Alia Bhatt and Neetu Kapoor are currently getting the Krishna Raj Bungalow renovated and are expected to move into their new home with baby Raha soon. Looks like the bungalow will now let Raha make memories just like it did for little Ranbir.
