Ranbir Kapoor opens up on relationships, says ‘the heart is such a fragile thing’ – Times of India

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, now blissfully settled in matrimony with Alia Bhatt, has had his share of heartbreaks in the last couple of years. The 40-year-old, who became a father last year, recently revealed that heartbreak is something that happens to everyone and often as an introvert, many find it difficult to pour their heart out to even immediate friends and family.

In an interaction with BBC reporter Haroon Rashid, when quizzed whether he has ever gone through heartbreak, the actor replied, “Of course, it is humanly impossible. The heart is such a fragile thing. Sometimes it is difficult for introverts to speak about their heartbreaks, even to people close to them. Your heart can break multiple times and people will not know about it.”

Moving on, the Sanju actor was also asked whether lying in relationships is okay. To this, the actor nonchalantly replied, “In life, you have to maneuver around relationships, and it doesn’t just have to be with your partner, it could be your parents or friends. And sometimes truth does more harm than a white lie. Yes, the truth should always be a priority, because it puts things into perspective in a faster and better way, but sometimes (saying) a white lie is nice.”
Ranbir is all geared up for his next Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar opposite Shraddha Kapoor. The light, breezy romantic comedy, directed by Luv Ranjan will hit theatres next week.
