Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding postponed? Rahul Bhatt says couple to make announcement soon – Times of India
Interestingly, it isn’t about the bride and groom getting cold feet, but rather security concerns that have reportedly prompted the decision. In his latest interview with Aaj Tak, Rahul Bhatt has claimed that his sister will not be taking the plunge either April 13 or April 14.
He reportedly told the portal that Alia and Ranbir have decided to change the date of their wedding and push it to a later date as information was allegedly ‘leaked’ to the media. In his statement to the portal, he admitted that the pair had locked April 14 for the wedding and other festivities.
“The dates earlier were the same, but after the information was leaked to the media, the dates were changed,” Rahul told the portal.
“Security concerns were also one of the reasons” he claimed while stating the reasons behind pushing the date.
He also revealed that fans and the media can expect a formal announcement from the couple in the days ahead. He said, “As far as I know, there will be an announcement regarding the date soon.”
He also hinted that the wedding would happen sometime next week, around April 20.
Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor in an interaction with the media on the film sets, said “I don’t know when (it will happen). Let’s see when.”
She went on to add, “I hope and pray it happens very soon.”
