Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt look inseparable in new still from ‘Brahmastra’ – Times of India

Fans of the couple ship them as Ralia and they are eagerly waiting for a wedding announcement. In a recent interview, Alia had said that in her mind, she is already married to Ranbir. “I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time. Everything happens for a reason. Whenever we do get married it will work out right and in a beautiful way,” Alia had said to NDTV.

Coming back to ‘Brahmastra’, the highly anticipated film is all set to hit the theaters on September 9, 2022. Ahead of the release, the makers had shared the motion poster and also revealed Ranbir’s look in the film.

The video gave a glimpse of Shiva aka Ranbir’s world, where he is heard saying to Alia’s character, “Kuch chal rha hai duniya mein Isha… aisa kuch jo normal logo ke samjh ke bahar hai. Kuch purani shaktiyan hai, kuch astra hai…” After which Alia’s character asks, “Yeh sab tumhe kyun dikh rha hai… Tum ho kaun Shiva?” Soon Ranbir’s character emerges holding Lord Shiva’s ‘Trishula’.

During a promotional event, director Ayan Mukerji had shared, “I know the term superhero gets used with the film a lot because it is sort of in that genre. But in my mind, it is not a superhero film. It is a fantasy adventure epic. It is a modern mythology piece. Shiva is closer to a modern representation of a deva than a western superhero. He is a normal guy who is born with certain energy within him.”

Apart from Ranbir and Alia, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. Mouni Roy will be reportedly seen essaying a negative lead in this three-part franchise film.
