Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt wedding highlights: Festivities conclude, Neetu Kapoor says no plans of a reception

Speaking to media personnel outside Vastu hours after Ranbir and Alia’s wedding, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni confirmed there is no wedding reception planned. Speaking in Hindi, Neetu said, “It’s done, it’s all done,” before adding, “Now you all go and sleep peacefully.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared a long note on Instagram, congratulating Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. “It’s days like this that we live for…where there is the most beautiful blend of family, love and absolute emotion…overwhelmed and so full of love in my heart…my darling @aliaabhatt this is such a beautiful life step and my love and blessings go with you everywhere … Ranbir ! I love you…now and forever! You are now my son in law,” he wrote alongside a picture of the newlyweds.

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a picture of her cousin the groom Ranbir posing with her father Randhir Kapoor posing together at the wedding. “Papa and brother. Pure happiness,” she captioned it.

Actor Anushka Sharma took to social media to wish Ranbir and Alia on their nuptials. On Instagram Stories, Anushka wrote, “Heart is so full wishing you @aliaabhatt and Ranbir, a beautiful journey together filled with love that oozes in these pictures for the rest of your lives.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared a picture of the newlyweds on her Instagram Stories. “Welcome to the family Mrs Kapoor @aliaabhatt we love you,” she wrote alongside.

In an inside pic shared from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding, the couple is seen cutting their three-tiered wedding cake.

Karisma Kapoor took to Instagram to share a picture with newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. “Congratulations to this gorgeous couple. Wish you both a lifetime of happiness and more,” she wrote.

Mahesh Bhatt reacted to daughter Alia Bhatt marrying Ranbir Kapoor. Speaking to ETimes, the filmmaker said, “Who says the age of fairy tales coming true is over?”

Mahesh Bhatt made a cute gesture for his son-in-law Ranbir Kapoor. He got his name written on his palm in henna during Alia and Ranbir’s mehendi ceremony on Wednesday.

Randhir Kapoor spoke to HT about the wedding and said that he missed his brother a lot. “We are all so happy that they are getting married today. It is a very happy and joyous moment for us. To be honest, everyone is emotional today as well,” Randhir tells us.

He adds, “It is a big day for the family, and Chintu should have been here. We miss him every day, but today we are missing him more. But life goes on. It is nice to see Ranbir and Alia are starting this new chapter.”

As per a new report, Ranbir might join social media after his wedding with Alia Bhatt. He is among thew few Indian celebrities who have not joined any social media platform in years.

An unconfirmed report in BollywoodLife.com has claimed that the wedding of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be streamed on an OTT platform in the coming months. As per the report, the wedding’s streaming rights have been sold for somewhere between ₹90-110 crore. There is no confirmation on the news, however, or a specification as to which OTT platform the said deal has been done with.
