Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ advance booking sets a positive trend at the box office – Times of India
‘Brahmastra’ sold over 10k tickets in just one chain of theatres for the weekend, while other chains opened advance booking a little late. The present trend suggests that ‘Brahmastra’ will record the best advance booking numbers post the pandemic, apart from ‘KGF 2’. The film is off to a positive start and it remains to be seen how ‘Brahmastra’ will fare in mass circuits as it enjoys a solo release.
‘Brahmastra’ is being planned as a three-part film franchise. The first part focuses on Shiva, played by Ranbir Kapoor, learning that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmastra and a great power within him that he doesn’t understand just yet – the power of Fire. This Ayan Mukerji directorial will be released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Speaking about the future parts Ayan had previously shared, “We will plan the shooting of the second and third part after the release of the first film. The entire trilogy will tell the same story but the next movies will introduce new characters and bring new perspectives to the Brahmastra story.”
