Rajkummar Rao, whose latest film ‘Bheed’ is receiving a lot of appreciation since its release finally broke his silence regarding an old video featuring him and Sonam Kapoor. The video from 2015 is suddenly doing rounds on the internet and it has kicked up a social media storm. For the unversed, Sonam had received received backlash for throwing shade at Rajkummar in that video.
During a recent interview Rajkummar was asked about the controversial video and the actual story behind it. The versatile actor shared that it’s an old video and a lot of things have changed since then. He also insisted that Sonam is one of the most kind-hearted girls and she respects not just Rajkummar but everyone. She is always out there to help people. The popular actor even called Sonam a dear friend and revealed he recently visited Sonam’s place to meet her son Vayu and nothing has changed between them.

Speaking about the video he claims that it was edited in a certain way and in the video they were just putting their points across.
In the 2015 video, Sonam had opened up on how difficult it was for her to land a role in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and her hardships in Bollywood. The actor was also heard saying, “Why do I have to start since I am a senior actor here.” Rajkummar too shared his story of struggles in Bollywood saying, “A lot of people did not want to audition me for the lead part. Sometimes maybe for the looks. I don’t know what they felt, sometimes they did not even want to audition me for those parts.”
