Rajinikanth’s wife, Latha Rajinikanth, turns creative mentor and presenter on music singles – Exclusive! – Times of India

The one that is complete is ‘Numa’ and those that remain are ‘Aankhon Aankhon Mein’, ‘Azhagu’ and ‘Kannal Peginaal’. These are in Hindi and Tamil and have been directed by Arora.

Latha Rajinikanth will be the creative mentor for these compositions and her company We Studios will be the presenter.

Latha Rajinikanth has been a musician and film producer. During the 1980s, Latha Rajinikanth worked as a playback singer in Tamil cinema. She sung a few songs in films such as ‘Tik Tik Tik’ (1981), ‘Anbulla Rajinikanth’ (1984). She also contributed to ‘Rajini 25’ (1999), a musical album that commemorated Rajinikanth’s 25 years in movies.
^]She has also produced 2 films – ‘Maaveeran’ (1986) and ‘Valli’ (1993).

Prerna Arora got to know Mrs Rajinikanth while working with her daughter Aishwaryaa who’d collaborated with her on other music singles, a couple of months ago. “Latha ji is a very sweet, kind and humble lady,” said Arora, when contacted to confirm the news.

Buzz is, Prerna Arora and Latha Rajinikanth might join hands to produce a film too.

Talking to ETimes, Arora said, “Latha ji is a powerful symbolic icon, who is very passionate about her work. I am honoured to associate with her and get creatively mentored by her. She has got into every nitty-gritty associated with the singles,” and added, “The songs will have a strong message.”

Mrs Rajinikanth was not on the sets in Goa but is expected to be present in Chennai.
