A grand celebration has begun to mark Big B’s 80th birthday and an 18-city retrospective and exhibition called ‘Bachchan: Back to the Beginning’ is being held from October 8 to 11. Amitabh Bachchan has earned several awards and accolades in his decades long career in the film industry. The government of India bestowed upon him the Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015. In 2018, he was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He has won five National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare awards, and several awards at international film festivals.
Amitabh Bachchan, who made his Bollywood debut in 1969 with ‘Saat Hindustani’, was last seen in the movie ‘ ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Goodbye’. He will soon be seen in ‘Uunchai’, ‘Project K’ and ‘The Intern’ remake.
