Rajat Bedi extends financial support to the family of the deceased victim of his car accident – Times of India

Rajat Bedi recently made news after his car accident resulted in the death of a person. He was booked for causing death due to negligence and the case is currently under investigation. While he provided immediate help to the victim, Rajat has now revealed how he is extending financial support to the deceased’s family. Speaking to a news portal, the ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ actor stated that even through it was not his fault, he is devastated thinking about the accident. The actor revealed that he immediately took care of all the expenses as well as the funeral and is supporting the victim’s family financially.

While waiting for the cops to finish their probe, Rajat said that he has already got the victim’s wife a job and is planning to make some FDs in the name of his daughters. The accident occurred at around 6:30pm near Sitla Devi Temple near DN Nagar Metro. Rajat was reportedly heading home when the victim Rajesh Boudh was hit by the actor’s car.

Previously, Rajat Bedi’s manager had told ETimes that the actor has been doing his best to support the victim’s family. She said, “In an unfortunate incident, though it was not Rajat fault as he was driving really slow. Mr Rajesh suddenly came in front of Rajat’s car. He was fully drunk, near Andheri West Metro station. Rajat himself immediately took him to Cooper Hospital after the accident and extended all possible help and support to him, arranged for blood in the night at 3.30 am and supported his family. Sadly he passed away. Rajat had been praying for his recovery and Mr Rajesh’s sudden demise has left him shattered. We wish to express our sincere heartfelt condolences to the victim family and will help them in whatever way possible. Rajat’s friend Suresh has been with family throughout and helped them with all medicines, treatment, financial help required and did his last rituals, too. Rajat is cooperating with the authorities and also consulting his team as to how to proceed ahead.”
