Luis Enrique is reportedly a candidate to replace Christophe Galtier as Paris Saint-Germain manager.
The Spaniard is currently available after leaving Spain in the aftermath of the World Cup in Qatar, and he has since been linked with a host of clubs who are looking for a new manager.
Tottenham have long been linked with the 53-year-old, with the Premier League side having to look elsewhere after they were snubbed by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.
Meanwhile, Enrique along with Antonio Conte have emerged as leading contenders to replace Luciano Spalletti as Napoli boss.
French publication Le Parisien have now reported that PSG are targeting Enrique as a potential replacement for Galtier.
Luis Enrique has emerged as a strong candidate to become the next boss of PSG
Enrique is ‘unanimously’ seen as a good choice by PSG chiefs (president Nasser Al-Khelaifi pictured) to replace current boss Christophe Galtier at the end of the current season
It’s said that unlike other candidates including Roma’s Jose Mourinho and Bologna’s Thiago Motta, PSG chiefs ‘unanimously agree’ that Enrique would be a good choice given his experience on the big stage.
Enrique won two LaLiga titles and a Champions League trophy during his time at Barcelona.
However, his Spain side were kicked out of the World Cup at the last 16 stage by eventual semi-finalists Morocco.
PSG respect his experience of managing big-name players as well as his attractive playing style.
Spanish is also the main language spoken at the club’s training ground, which would be another strong factor in his favour.
Enrique is also wanted by Napoli after their current boss Spalletti admitted he could leave despite leading them to their first Serie A title since 1990 this season.
Speaking in a press conference following Napoli’s 3-1 win over Inter on Sunday, Spalletti said the situation ‘has been brewing for a long time’ after working ‘from morning to night’.
It was recently reported that Spalletti is not on speaking terms with De Laurentiis, with negotiations over a new deal having frozen.

Tottenham have also been linked with Enrique since Antonio Conte’s departure from the club
De Laurentiis also has eyes on Conte who he has held talks with in the past about joining the club – while the ex-Spurs boss is claimed to be keen on the role.
Conte’s reputation remains strong in Italy, where he has won Serie A four times as a manager with Juventus and Inter Milan.
A complication surrounds his likely salary demands, with De Laurentiis reluctant to pay more than £6million-a-year. Conte had reportedly earned £13million annually at Tottenham.
Enrique has also been linked with the Spurs job since Conte’s departure.
However, despite Slot pulling out of the race, it is Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou who has emerged as the new frontrunner.
