PSG ‘join the race for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen’, in a blow for Manchester United after months of links with the £130M-rated striker
- Manchester United have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen for months
- PSG have now ‘joined the Red Devils in the hunt for the striker’s signature’
- They are looking to find a centre forward to compliment Kylian Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain have joined the hunt for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports.
It will come as a blow to Manchester United, who see Osimhen as a long-term option up front and have been linked with him for much of the season.
The 24-year-old topped the Serie A scoring charts this season and helped Napoli to their first Scudetto in over 30 years.
He could now be headed to the French capital, with Le Parisien reporting that Kylian Mbappe is keen to play off a main centre forward, with Osimhen considered the best option.
L’Equipe claim Marcus Thuram is another option being explored, with Bernardo Silva also a target in midfield.

If Osimhen does end up moving clubs, he is likely to cost around £130 million, although he recently claimed to not mind whether he stayed at Napoli or not.
When asked where he would be playing next season on DAZN, the Nigeria international replied: ‘I don’t know, the President has to decide that.
‘I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.’
If Man United are unable to bring in Osimhen, they may take heart from the uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane’s position at Tottenham.
The Sun claim he is keen to join Old Trafford in pursuit of trophies and the Premier League goals record, while they also report he does not wish to leave England despite interest from Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid.

Kane is reportedly prepared to stay at Tottenham for the final year of his contract should a deal not be agreed, before potentially leaving the club on a free next summer.
Mail Sport reported that United believe Tottenham’s price for Kane will be £100million.
With uncertainty surrounding Spurs’ immediate future and next boss, the Red Devils are not expecting under-pressure Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to agree to sell easily.
United have had their eye on a number of other options, with Atalanta youngster Rasmus Hojlund, Benfica ace Goncalo Ramos and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani also reportedly targeted.
