Project viewers obsess over Carrie’s outfit
The Gold Logie winner has won plenty of praise for a cosy knit dress – with people obsessing over one detail in particular in her $165 outfit.
As a host on The Project panel since 2009, Carrie Bickmore has won plenty of fans for her sartorial choices.
Now the Gold Logie winner has viewers of the Channel 10 show obsessing over an outfit she wore on Monday night’s episode, for one detail in particular.
Carrie shared a photo of her wearing a $165 pink and red knit dress by Staud on Instagram, which she paired with a chunky gold chain necklace by Roxy Jacenko and hoop earrings by Bling Bar.
People praised the outfit on Instagram, especially the “beautiful colour combo” in the dress.
“This colour combo looks fabulous on you,” one person wrote.
“Carrie you are absolutely stunning! Loving this colour and look on you!” another said.
“Suits you so much,” one follower commented.
Carrie’s outfit choices on The Project are so popular an Instagram account dedicated to her looks @whatcarriebickmorewore has more than 23,000 followers.
The account is run by Melbourne mum Sarah, who started it five years ago and isn’t affiliated with The Project.
“I always had a love of seeing what Carrie wore on The Project. I loved all her outfits and how she was styled,” Sarah said in an Instagram story posted last year.
“But the problem was when she’s behind the desk you can only see this [top] half and you didn’t know what the full picture was, so I started that page.”
Carrie has previously credited her Project outfits to an “amazing” Channel 10 stylist who challenges her to wear more daring looks.
“I will say, in the past I would have picked the more conservative option she shows me, but the older I’m getting and the more time I’m spending on the show and the more comfortable I’m feeling, I’m happier to try a bold print or certain cut,’’ she told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2013.
But Carrie also favours comfort too, revealing in March this year that she had secretly worn Crocs behind The Project desk for a week.
“I became one with the Croc and I became quite proud of wearing the Crocs and I didn’t justify them to anyone,” the mum-of-three said on the Carrie & Tommy radio show.
