Professional surfer Mikey Wright saved a woman from drowning (Video)
Mikey Wright once saved a woman from drowning.
As soon as someone informed Mikey Wright there was a woman in trouble he ran to save her.
According to a tweet from Rex Chapman, “Professional surfer Mikey Wright was alerted that a woman [was] struggling in the water — and he sprinted into action…” The incident occurred this past winter while Wright was “sitting on the beachfront” at Oahu’s North Shore in Haleiwa, Hawaii, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The video shows Wright jumping into the water to rescue the victim. Once he found the woman, he brought her to safety where a group of bystanders helped him drag her away from the current. The person recording the footage can be heard saying, “Oh my God,” after Wright’s courageous quest to come to the rescue.
Wright later posted the video on his Instagram account on Jan. 1, 2021, and captioned it, writing, “Hold my beer.”
