Priyanka Chopra says too much credit give to actors, claims ‘they do nothing’ – Times of India

Priyanka Chopra is making waves online for sharing her honest reactions about an actor’s job.

The star, who was in India to promote her haircare line, surprised all when she said that too much credit is given to actors and shared her thoughts about the real stars of films. In an interview with Janice Sequeira, Priyanka also revealed that the best filmmakers taught her how to be the best actor.

“This doesn’t have to do with just working with the best in the business in the States. Even when I was working in Bollywood, working with the best filmmakers taught me how to be the best actor,” she said.

The actress went on to state, “We give too much credit to actors; actors do nothing by the way. We really don’t. I’ve always said this. Actors do nothing.”

Priyanka further added that actors just speak the lines given by others and dance to the choreography of others. Sharing her honest thoughts about movie making, she said that she feels other people do a lot of work than actors.

While explaining an actor’s ‘limited’ contribution to a film, she said, “Those 30 seconds of a scene, is where I come in. And then when I talk about the movie etc. So I have a very limited role.”

On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in a number of Hollywood films and even the Russo Brothers’ series ‘Citadel’. She is also expected to make her Bollywood return with ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ that will see her share screen space with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
