‘Joyland’ narrates the story of a young boy who works as a backup dancer and falls in love with a transgender woman who runs the show. Nobel Prize-winner Malala Yousafzai is the executive producer for this movie, which is helmed by Saim Sadiq, and stars Ali Junejo, Rasti Farooq and Alina Khan.

Previously, Priyanka gave a shout out to SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, which has been submitted for the Academy Awards under the “for your consideration” section. The film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has earned a spot in the Best Song shortlist while the final nominations are yet to be announced. Hosting a screening of the film, Priyanka had tweeted, “Least I can do to contribute to this incredible Indian film’s journey. Good luck and congratulations @RRRMovie.” Pan Nalin’s Chhello Show (The Last Film Show) has been announced as India’s official entry to the Oscars 2023 under the Best International Feature Film category.
