The Premier League is reportedly coming to the United States this summer in the form of a six-team tournament.
Chelsea, Newcastle, Brentford, Brighton, Aston Villa will all take part, with Leeds United likely if they keep their Premier League status, per The Athletic.
Reportedly labeled the ‘Summer Series’, the English top flight teams will face off in late July across the east coast.
It follows the likes of the NBA and NFL expanding its appeal to a global audience, partaking in games in Paris, London, and Munich respectively — which have been noted as ‘inspiration’ for the imminent competition.
The United States has been a frequent summer destination for Premier League clubs to tune up their respective squads and increase the marketability in an ever-increasing global league.

Premier League leaders Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea all traveled across the Atlantic to play in friendly competitions before the commencement of the current campaign.
All aside from Pep Guardiola’s team played against an MLS opponent while on American soil.
Presently, it is unclear whether City will return to the States, though neighbors Manchester United have already confirmed a summer trip to the west coast.
The Red Devils will play Welsh non-league side, Wrexham — who are owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney — July 25 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
Man United will also make a trip to Sin City where Borussia Dortmund will be waiting. The European giants will play at the impressive Allegiant Stadium on July 30.
Arsenal will visit the nation’s capital to play the Wayne Rooney coached MLS All-Star team on July 19 at Audi Field.
