Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ to lock horns with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Fighter’ – Times of India

This means that the film will be locking horns at the box office with Siddharth Anand’s upcoming movie, ‘Fighter’, starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles which also releases on the same date. The film was initially slated for a Republic Day release next year. However, the action-thriller was deferred to accommodate the filmmaker’s ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘Salaar’ is a pan-India film which will be released in five languages, including Hindi. It will also star Shruti Haasan in a lead role.

‘Fighter’, on the other hand, will reportedly be India’s first aerial action franchise. This is the first time Hrithik and Deepika will be seen sharing the screen space in a film. ‘Fighter’ will be made on a massive scale for a global audience. At the same time, it will remain true to its Indian roots and salute the valour, sacrifice and patriotism of our armed forces.

Apart from this, Prabhas has Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ in his pipeline. The film also stars Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. Hrithik, on the other hand, will be seen in ‘Vikram Vedha’ co-starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead role.

Deepika and Prabhas will also be starring together in Nag Ashwin’s untitled film for the first time. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.
