Pooja Bhatt reacts strongly to trolling of RRR’s Naatu Naatu win at Golden Globes, Jr NTR’s accent – Times of India

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR has made India proud as it created history by winning The Best Original Song title for the Telugu track Naatu Naatu at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. While the entire country has been celebrating the historic win, a certain section of the netizens did not find Naatu Naatu deserving to win the coveted title.
Many people have been of the opinion that Naatu Naatu was too average to win the Best Original Song award. They have also been expressing their displeasure over Jr NTR’s accent while interacting with the international media over RRR’s win at the award function.

Pooja Bhatt, sister of Alia Bhatt who worked in RRR, has reacted strongly to the trolling of Naatu Naatu and slammed those who have been highly criticising its big win. For the uninitiated, Pooja has previously worked with veteran music director MM Keeravaani on his earlier projects.

As writer Anirudha Guha took to Twitter to express his disappoint stating, “Everyone who’s like, ‘but Naatu Naatu so ordinary’, ‘but RRR was so average’, ‘ewww that accent hehehe’ – kya dukh paal rahe ho bachpan se ke kissi ki khushi dekhi nahi jaati?” Pooja replied to it saying, “Insaan ki fitrat hai ke woh apna dukh jhel leta hai par doosron ka sukh bardaashth nahin kar sakta.”

Several videos of Jr NTR have been doing the rounds of the internet where many people have been questioning the Telugu actor’s use of accent while speaking in English during his media interactions at the Golden Globes. While some felt that there was no need to fake an accent and Jr NTR should have taken pride in speaking in native English language, some supported the RRR team for putting India on the global map.
