PM Narendra Modi raves about housefull shows of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan in Srinagar – Times of India
During his speech in the Lok Sabha, Modi proudly addressed the worldwide success of Pathaan and said that theatres are running housefull in Srinagar after decades. Earlier, Modi had asked BJP workers to avoid making unnecessary comments about Bollywood celebrities and films. His move had come after several protests and boycott calls were being made against Pathaan before its worldwide release on January 25.

Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude towards the audience for showering immense love on Pathaan. “The Sun is alone….it Burns….and comes out of the darkness to Shine again. Thank u all for letting the Sun shine on #Pathaan,” he wrote on Instagram while sharing his sun-kissed picture.
Pathaan is the fourth movie in producer Aditya Chopra’s spy universe, following Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, and War featuring Hrithik Roshan. It is also SRK’s first big screen release as a lead in four years after Zero.
The movie also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead, followed by Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
