‘Please mujhe Virat de do’: Meet Rizla Rehan, Kohli’s Pakistani Fangirl from 2019 World Cup
Team India captain Virat Kohli has been cricket’s ultimate heartthrob for over a decade. Starting right from English cricketer Danni Wyatt, Kohli has had many fangirls over the years, some of whom have grabbed eyeballs with bizarre proposals, posters and comments.
One such Kohli fangirl who became a social media sensation during 2019 World Cup was Rizla Rehan.
While fans can go to any length to prove their love and adulation for their favourite stars, Rehan created quite a sensation. The Pakistani girl took social media by storm with her comment, “Mujhe Virat de do. Please mujhe Virat de do. (Please give me Virat)”
A big cricket fan, Rehan was first spotted during the 2018 Asia Cup in Dubai. During the 2019 World Cup, she was seen in Manchester in the build up to the semi-final. She was supporting India to the surprise of many. Rizla had later revealed in an interview that she had bought the tickets to the semi-final match hoping that Pakistan would qualify and be among the last four. However, it was New Zealand who played India as semi-final opponents.
When asked during an interview about that one thing that she would like to gift Pakistan from the Indian cricket team, the fangirl had said, “Mujhe Virat de do, please mujhe Virat de do.”
