Piers Morgan expresses his frustration as Arsenal drop points in draw against West Ham

Piers Morgan was left frustrated as Arsenal dropped points in the Premier League title race with a 2-2 draw away to West Ham.

The Gunners established a two-goal lead within ten minutes as Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard found the net.

However, Said Benrahma got a goal back for West Ham with a penalty and Bukayo Saka then missed a spot-kick before Jarrod Bowen levelled for the Hammers.

Arsenal also drew having thrown away a 2-0 lead against Liverpool last weekend and Morgan took to Twitter to express his disappointment.

Morgan wrote: ‘Wake the f*ck up, Arsenal – we’re throwing the Title away.’

Towards the end of the game Morgan also tweeted: ‘Biggest 5 minutes for Arsenal in nearly 2 decades.’ However, they were unable to restore their lead.

He also tweeted: ‘FFS’ along with six angry emojis. 

Following the draw with West Ham, Arsenal are four points clear of Manchester City but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

In addition, the two sides will face each other at the Etihad Stadium on April 26 in what could be a crucial fixture.

Arsenal have enjoyed some excellent results this season but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to last the distance in the title race. 

On Friday, Arsenal will return to action as they host relegation-threatened Southampton. 

With City in FA Cup action next weekend, Arsenal will have an opportunity to temporarily at least open up a four point gap over their title rivals, albeit having played two games more.
