Actress Aparna Balamurali had a major fangirl moment, as she met Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. The actress met the superstar in Chennai, while the latter was working for the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ helmed by Sudha Kongara. The Tamil film featured Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles.

Aparna Balamurali, who played Bommi in ‘Soorarai Pottru’ was ecstatic meeting Veer from the Hindi remake, and the duo posed for a picture together.

Sharing the picture on her social media handle, Aparna Balamurali also extended best wishes to the Hindi remake.

‘Soorarai Pottru’ helmed by Sudha Kongara was a breakthrough in Aparna Balamurali’s career. Though she has done several movies in Malayalam including the acclaimed ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’ directed by Dileesh Pothen, the Suriya starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru’ widened her horizon.

Meanwhile, the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ too is directed by Sudha Kongara, the creator of the original film. Akshay Kumar is paired opposite Radhika Madan in the upcoming film.

On the other hand, Aparna Balamurali’s latest release was ‘Veetla Vishesham’, a Tamil remake of the Bollywood film ‘Badhaai Ho’. The film is running successfully in the cinemas.
