The Phillies have been terrible offensively over the past two weeks, ranking 23rd in OPS over that time span. The Nationals, meanwhile, are red hot. They rank third in OPS over the past 14 days with a mark of .808.
Now, the Phillies have to take on the best pitcher for the Nationals in Gray. He has allowed more than two earned runs only twice in his 11 starts so far this season.
There’s no way that between Gray’s numbers and the Nationals offense of late, that they deserve to be this big of a home underdog tonight.
