Paul Pogba savaged by irritated Marco Tardelli for going on a ski trip in December
Paul Pogba is SAVAGED for ‘going skiing while his Juventus team-mates are struggling’… as the midfielder – who is yet to play since re-joining from Man United – is labelled a ‘big problem’ by club legend Marco Tardelli
Paul Pogba hasn’t been fair on his team-mates and has become a ‘big problem’ for Juventus, claims irritated former Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli.
Much of Tardelli’s ire stems from the fact that Pogba took to the ski slopes in December.
Pogba, who has yet to play a competitive match for Juventus since re-joining the club in the summer, defended himself from critics by insisting photos of him enjoying the snow were nothing more than poses.
But Tardelli was totally bemused by the episode and now feels Juventus have a major issue on their hands.
‘Pogba hasn’t played since April 2022, when he was still in Manchester,’ Tardelli told 90 Minute on Rai 2. ‘It’s now a problem for Juve, we don’t know when he’ll return and we don’t know what he wants to do. Pogba goes skiing while his team-mates are struggling with the big problems of Juve.’
Paul Pogba went away on a ski trip in December – much to the annoyance of Juventus fans
The Frenchman remains sidelined since suffering a high muscle issue back in October
A ticked-off Tardelli added: ‘Today Pogba is a big problem that the Bianconeri must solve. This situation also demonstrates that Juve do not have clear enough ideas.
‘[Massimiliano] Allegri has to take over for me, it’s not possible to have a player like that on the payroll.
‘His behaviour towards his team-mates isn’t fair either, it annoys me.’
There was a great deal of anticipation around Pogba’s return to Turin.
During his first spell, with the likes of Andrea Pirlo in tow, Pogba helped deliver four Serie A title titles between 2013 and 2016. Pogba also won the Coppa Italia twice.
But he has yet to get his second spell started and found himself having to defend his name amid fierce criticism from supporters in December.
Fans queried how he was able to ski while out injured and he took to social media to poke fun at the fume.
The video, posted to his 56.4million Instagram followers, included the caption: ‘Me skiing for those who were wondering,’ with a skiing and cry-laughing emoji.
Footage showed Pogba moving into a typical ski position, with legs together and knees bent, pushing his arms backwards to mimic using skis, before jumping forward several times.

He then turned around and faced the camera, smiling, before carrying out several more mock-skiing poses – demonstrating how low-impact his holiday has been – before turning it off.
Pogba’s recent injury record has been a real cause for concern.
The Frenchman tore the meniscus in his knee during a pre-season tour of America and was eventually forced to agree to an operation to repair the injury after alternative therapies failed to help.
He then suffered another setback in October, suffering with a thigh muscle issue to further delay his return.
The injury meant he played no role in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, in which France lost out agonisingly in the final in a penalty shootout.
Prior to Sunday’s 1-0 win over Fiorentina in Serie A, Allegri was asked about a timeframe for Pogba’s return, but he had little in the way of promising news.
‘Pogba cannot be called up, he’s still out at the moment,’ Allegri said.
‘He’s not there, I’m sorry to say it but that’s the reality. He’s working to be available again, [but] right now I can’t tell you when he’ll be back.
‘Maybe in 20 days, I don’t know.’
Pogba fired back at his critics and claimed he was just walking in the snow, rather than skiing
