Patrick Mahomes reveals all the details of Chiefs’ wild post-Super Bowl party in appearance on Jimmy Kimmel… as MVP admits he is yet to go to bed after heading straight to Disneyland with his wife and two children
A bleary-eyed Patrick Mahomes headed to Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night to reveal all the details of the Kansas City Chiefs’ wild post-Super Bowl party.
Mahomes was the star of the show at State Farm Stadium in Arizona on Sunday night, helping his team to a win over the Philadelphia Eagles to secure his second Lombardi, and his second MVP award.
Many have been wondering exactly what the victorious players got up to after leaving the field, and Mahomes was happy to lift the lid during his appearance in Los Angeles with late-night TV host Kimmel.
‘We started off with a nice party at the hotel, the Chainsmokers came through, DJ Khaled came through, you can’t beat that man – that’s every genre of music you need right there,’ he explained.
‘We had a little afterparty after that too, you just get the guys together man, to celebrate. I get one day off to get my rest and then the parade on Wednesday. Chiefs Kingdom, I’ll see you there.’

Rather than flying back with his teammates, Mahomes headed to Disneyland with his family
When asked who the ‘most valuable partier’ was in the squad, Mahomes was quick to name one man: Travis Kelce.
Given the game finished late in Arizona, and Mahomes then went on to the after-parties, before being spotted at Disneyland with his family, many have been wondering just how much sleep the star quarterback has managed to get in.
Incredibly, he explained that he was yet to go to bed since playing in the game, instead grabbing a quick nap in the car between Disneyland and Kimmel’s ABC show.
Such was the brilliance of the performance in Arizona, Kimmel asked Mahomes whether he planned on watching the game back, with the QB responding: ‘When I get a free minute, imma go and watch it.
‘I’ll watch it once, maybe twice… and then I’ll go and try and win another one.’
Much of the discussion leading into Sunday’s season finale surrounded the health of Mahomes, given he had suffered an ankle injury in the Chiefs’ previous game.
He took a big hit in the first half and limped off the field, but managed to come back stronger in the second to overturn a 10-point deficit and further cement himself among the game’s greatest ever players.
‘The ankle put a hiccup in the game plan but we were able to get through, and come out Super Bowl champs,’ he explained, before adding: ‘I’m ready to play a game today if we need to. It’s feeling alright.’

‘It was a bad moment because we were losing momentum of the game as well,’ he said. ‘The pain shot up my entire leg, and I knew it was going to hurt the rest of the way out.
‘Lucky enough we had that long halftime and I was able to get some help.
‘Oh, I was coming back. You work all year to play in that game. I knew it was going to hurt, but it was just a bit of, “get your mind right.”
