The Siddharth Anand directorial has collected a whopping Rs 30 crore nett in advance booking. The upcoming spy thriller has beaten Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ which had registered the highest advance booking for an original Hindi film post the pandemic, a report in BoxofficeIndia.com stated.

The report added that ‘Pathaan’ will easily be able to reach ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ which had an advance of rs 42 crore nett. If this was the trend of advance pre pandemic, it can easily be said that ‘Pathaan’ will be the first Hindi film to hit the Rs 50 crore nett mark in terms of advance bookings.

The advance bookings in regions like Gujarat, Pubjab were slow earlier. However, over the weekend, these regions also showed improvements in advance bookings.

The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will hit the theatres on January 25. The film will get an advantage as the second day of its release is a big public holiday.

According to another report, if the pre-sales numbers are anything to go by, the film can easily enjoy Rs 300 crore worldwide opening by the end of its first weekend.
