‘Pathaan’ on course to becoming BIGGEST Hindi film at worldwide box office – Times of India
The SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer raised Rs 113.6 crore in worldwide gross on day two of its release, beating the opening day figures of Rs 106 crore. The film’s worldwide box office collections now stand at an estimated Rs 219.6 crore.
According to a report on boxofficeindia.com, Pathaan is on course to topping the list of the biggest Indian film releases of all time. Not just that, its set to achieve this record by releasing in its original Hindi format.
Most other Indian films release their English or other dubbed formats, but Pathaan released in its original format is looking to go where no film Indian film has ever gone.
Currently, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ holds the title for earning an estimated Rs 702 crore gross worldwide.
All eyes are now on Pathaan to see if it can keep up this winning pace and cruise past the Rs 400 crore nett mark in India and surpass the numbers of ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’.
The overseas collections of the film currently stand at an estimated $14 million. The film may just surpass the $20 million mark within its first week at the box office.
The film’s total collection on Day 3 stands at an estimated Rs 270-275 crore. With Saturday and Sunday’s collections still to come, it remains to be seen how much more the film can add to its kitty.
