Papa had the loudest laughter in the family and now my daughter has it: Aparshakti Khurana | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
Has his daughter’s birth also altered his creative choices changed too? “Not really, I don’t take up work thinking about what my daughter will think of it when she grows up.Maybe such projects haven’t come my way where I have had to think,” says the Stree actor.
Aparshakti says daughters are a blessing and he feels his little one is just like him. “Arzoie is a daddy’s girl because, since the time she learnt the physical touch, she has given me her first hug and first kiss. When she started calling us Papa and Mumma, it felt very special. I think she is like me in many ways; she is straightforward and knows what she wants,” he shares.
Aparshakti recently lost his father, astrologer P Khurana and it has been a difficult time for the family. He says, “It has been tough, no one is prepared for something like this. It is always difficult for any child to lose their parent. Only time will heal this, and work helps me to divert my mind. We shared a regular father-son relationship while growing up, but after a certain age it evolved and he became my friend. He lived his life to the fullest and all we can do is celebrate his life.”
His father always encouraged him in sports and he wants to do the same with Arzoie. “My father always pushed me to play different sports and I am teaching the same to my daughter… The other day I took her to a football field to play and I felt immense joy when I watched her play. My father too loved spending time with her. The irony is that papa had the loudest laughter in the family and I am glad it came to me. Now, Arzoie has that laughter. She laughs wholeheartedly,” says Aparshakti.
