Pankaj Tripathi reveals he is trying to figure out whether he is really a very humble person or just pretending to be one – Times of India
In conversation with Mayank Shekhar, Pankaj talked about how it is important to live and observe your own life as an actor when he is off the camera. While an actor has to play different characters and live different lives in front of the camera, Pankaj said that you also have to analyse and think how you are going to lead your life.
When asked how does an actor prepare himself at home, Pankaj said, “The range of preparation of an actor is very wide. You have to read literature. You have to keep an eye on your life as well. How is my life going in terms of everything? How do I perform with my father? What is going on in the society? Historical evidence is equally important.”
‘I’m not at all tough, but still, I cried…’ What made actor Pankaj Tripathi cry?
He continued, “An actor has to read history, geography, social events. At the same time, he has to read external events that are not in his hands. He has to see what is happening internally. We observe our life as well. We are living our lives together, but I am observing my own life. I am exploring myself. These days, there is a saying about me, that I am a very humble person. Everyone says that. I am really appreciating that I am generally so humble or that I am a very smart person and I pretend to be humble. I haven’t realized that yet. I am in a discovery. Because I don’t know where I am pretending. Do I really exist?”
“I get angry. I feel like taking revenge. But I have overcome it with time. By taking revenge and getting angry, I will harm myself before the other person. So, let go of your anger. In any bad situation, I get angry. It’s not that I don’t get angry. I get angry. Within seconds, my thoughts overpower it. That your friend will waste his time. Where are you wasting your time? Let go of it. Then I will move ahead with a smile,” he concluded.
