Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: Toe is ‘worse’ after win over Bears
We apparently still haven’t heard the end of Aaron Rodgers’ foot.
After defeating the Chicago Bears 45-30 at Lambeau Field on Sunday, the Packers quarterback said his injured toe — which gained notoriety recently because he plopped it up on a table during a press conference — is, in fact, worse for wear.
“It feels worse,” Rodgers said Sunday, via ESPN. “I don’t know what kind of setback that I had tonight but we’ll look at it tomorrow. Definitely took a step back tonight.”
Rodgers sustained the injury during his stint in COVID-19 protocol and has barely practiced since. He has continued to take the field on game day, however, and logged another successful evening against the rival Bears, although it appears he may be taking the idea of surgery a bit more seriously after aggravating it in-game.
“That would be last resort, for sure,” Rodgers said. “But I’ve got to see what kind of setback it was tonight.”
The 38-year-old signal-caller completed 29-of-37 throws for 341 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions against Chicago. According to ESPN, it is his seventh four-touchdown, no-interception game against the Bears, good for the most in NFL history against a single opponent.
