Over The Moon, La Vie Style House, and Edie Parker Celebrate a Groovy New Caftan Bridal Capsule

The return of the caftan is cause for celebration, particularly in the world of weddings. On Thursday night, e-commerce site Over The Moon and Texas-based label La Vie Style House ushered in a new era with a ’70s-themed launch party to celebrate a new capsule of billowy bridal caftans, alongside an equally dazzling collection of bespoke clutches from Edie Parker. Designer Brett Heyman, aka the purveyor of cool acrylic personalized handbags, played host to guests who came together at her boutique in SoHo. There, editors, photographers, influencers, and more all raised a glass (specialty cocktails crafted with Martini & Rossi rosé and a splash of St. Germain) in celebration of fashion that will be the life of the party, from the bachelorette weekend to the wedding day and beyond. Trimmed in feathers or bedazzled with sequins, the eye-catching new pieces were on full display for guests to capture for the ‘gram.

The inspiration for the one-size-fits-all caftans started with style legends Bianca Jagger and Elizabeth Taylor (who, lest you forget, donned a statement caftan when she wed Richard Burton). La Vie Style House founders Lindsey Mcclain and Jamie Coulter also looked to the silver screen when shooting the campaign, though the final sartorial results for the collaboration created with Over The Moon offer a modern new twist. “It’s a relaxed, whimsical, easy way to dress the bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride, or wedding guests,” Coulter said. The only rule? “Dare to be fabulous.”
