OTT releases: After getting a big OTT debut in Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness on Disney+ Hotstar midweek, this weekend’s binge plans must already be set. This week also witnessed some strong releases in Indian language movies and shows and if you are a fan of action, thrillers and police chases, then you are in for a treat. The biggest title this weekend is going to be the Tamil hit film Sarkaru Vaari Paata which made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video yesterday after gaining financial success in the theatres. Alongside, psychological thriller Forensic, the second season of Avrodh, Kuttavum Shikshayum and Doon Kand have also made their debut on different platforms. Sarkaru Vaari Paata on Amazon Prime Video

This Telugu action drama has already won hearts on the big screen. However, if you missed out on it then, you should make a point to watch it now as it promises to entertain you throughout. The plot revolves around Mahesh, a banker who is a stickler for rules and financial discipline. He comes across as a fraudster who is the exact opposite. As government tasks Mahesh with bringing the fraudster to justice, how will the events transpire? The film casts talented Mahesh Babu along with Keerthy Suresh, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju and others.

Forensic on Zee5

Intending to be the big release of the weekend, Forensic is a psychological thriller which follows a group of cops and a forensic expert as they hunt a dangerous killer who is targeting minor girls. The movie, which is an adaptation of the 2020 Malayalam movie of the same name, has a great cast as well. It stars OTT favourite Radhika Apte along with Vikrant Massey, Rohit Roy, Prachi Desai, Vindu Dara Singh and others.

Avrodh season 2 on SonyLIV

Released today, the second season of Avrodh is a parallel story that goes along with the first season. The military thriller is inspired by the ninth chapter of the popular book India’s Most Fearless. The plot revolves around counterinsurgency and ‘surgical strikes’. The series casts Abir Chatterjee, Neeraj Kabi, Aahana Kumra, Sanjay Suri and others.

Kuttavum Shikshayum on Netflix

This Malayalam language police procedural will keep you gripped to the seat throughout the film. The film revolves around a mysterious robbery that took place in Kerala and the police investigation that follows it. The slow burn movie takes you through multiple twists and turns in the search for the culprit. The movie casts Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, Alencier Ley Lopez, Sharaf U Dheen in main roles.

Doon Kand on Voot

Set in the heart of Uttarakhand, this investigative thriller series is a game of cat and mouse chase with revenge as the central theme. The series features Iqbal Khan, Donal Bisht, Indraneil Sengupta, Karamveer Mehra and Nidhi Seth in leading roles.
