‘Only right I show my respect!’: Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun pays homage to Thierry Henry after his last minute equaliser for Reims against Paris Saint-Germain, following a chat he had with the Gunners legend before the game
Folarin Balogun emulated a Thierry Henry celebration on Sunday after bagging a stoppage-time equalier for Reims against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Arsenal loanee rounded the goal keeper in the 96th minute before slotting home to give English manager William Still’s side a dramatic point.
He followed up the goal by posing with the corner flag, recreating one of Henry’s celebrations from his time as a France international.

The 21-year-old then tweeted a picture of both celebrations with the caption: ‘Spoke to Titi before the game! Only right I show my respect.’
After struggling to establish himself at the Emirates, Balogun has been a revelation in France this season and scored 11 goals in 19 league games for Reims.
Still celebrated the goal wildly and spoke gushingly about the forward after the game, saying: ‘He is a super complete striker, he is able to play with his back to goal, in depth. It is technically very clean. He scores, he is decisive.’

On the underdog victory, the manager, who is just 30-years-old and admits learning his craft from the Football Manager video game series, added: ‘It’s magical, honestly. This is why we do this job.
‘To equalise at the 96th minute at the Parc des Princes, in front of so many of your supporters – it’s magical.
‘It’s impossible to choose [between the point earned or the performance], the content was very very good especially in the first half, it’s nice to take a point at the Park. We showed a beautiful image of Reims.
‘We showed that Reims wanted to play, press and be enterprising. We continue on a good momentum.’
Still was given an elusive 8/10 ranking by the notoriously harsh French newspaper L’Equipe after setting up his team well to marshal PSG’s explosive front three.
