Once a popular south actress now selling soaps to make her living – Times of India

A Few youngsters might think that the film profession is all about colourful life, giving interviews & having fun all the time. But the show business is not true to their dreams in reality, which has been proved time and again in the past all across. There were several actors and actresses who despite being in the industry for decades couldn’t make a successful career and have a financially settled life. They had struggled for basic needs towards their end and a few also took extreme steps. We can refer to several in the past.

A popular actress Aishwarya (actress Lakshmi’s daughter) is reported to be in a similar situation. With no Film/TV acting offers in hand from any south language industries as it used to be in the past, she had to sell soaps by visiting door to door to make her living. Aishwarya made her film acting debut with the 1989 Telugu film ‘Adivilo Abhimanyudu’ opposite Jagapathi Babu and then she has acted in several super hit films in all the south languages and has done over 200 films so far. However, she couldn’t make her career financially viable which she reportedly expressed to a local media channel recently.

While talking to the media channel she revealed that when she was at the peak of her career, she got married and left the industry. A few years later, her only daughter got married. With no financial support, she had to find a job to make a living. Therefore she started her own youtube channel and is selling soaps going door to door.

She was a popular actress a few years back, not just in Telugu, but in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada industries too. The actress also happens to be the daughter of very popular south actress Lakshmi who has acted with several south stalwarts and has over ten Filmfare awards and a National Award to her credit.
