On Assignment: Meet The Founder With Vogue Club Member Sarah Clark
You attended Meet the Founder at the iconic Vogue House in London—tell us about your day!
It was a beautiful summer’s day in London, and walking up to Vogue House was a true treat in itself. Outside, I saw my fellow Vogue Club members making introductions and I admired everyone’s outfits and the uniqueness each individual brought. The energy was immense. Vogue Club’s video producer, Joris Hendrik, came out to meet us, and we filmed some content together before heading inside.
Entering through the revolving doors, Vogue House is everything you’d expect it to be and more: Beyond the elegant decor and portraits lining the walls, you are reminded of the many people who have walked these corridors. It feels special to be in the building where all the creativity, collaboration, and hard work happens for a magazine I love—and whilst I’m typing this, my post has just arrived (my miniature dachshund, Prudence, is gleefully barking to let me know ;)), and it’s my monthly British Vogue subscription (woah, the timing!).
Entering the event space, the team greeted us with a lovely lineup of drinks (I had a rosé spritzer with a dash of rosemary—and I’ve already recreated it at home) before networking with community members and the Vogue team, eyeing up some beautiful 16Arlington pieces, and soaking up the surroundings.
An hour quickly whizzed by, then it was time for the main moment—Vogue Club’s event lead, Concetta Ciarlo, made a stellar introduction for Senior Fashion Projects Editor (and Acting European Fashion Features Director for British Vogue) Julia Hobbs and 16Arlington’s Marco Capaldo. They took to their seats and the conversation began.
