‘Om: The Battle Within’: ‘If Aditya Roy Kapur is criticising my performance, I know it’s coming from a good place,’ says Sanjana Sanghi – Exclusive! – Times of India

Speaking to ETimes about stepping into a new avatar, Sanjana says, “I have ventured into the action genre with ‘Om’ and I am extremely excited for the audience to see Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) and me in this avatar. Of course, he has done it before. For me, it’s a jump into a different genre after ‘Dil Bechara’. It’s something I never saw getting the opportunity to do so early in my career. But I have discovered a whole new side to myself as a performer and I can’t wait for it to come out and see how people receive it. I am very happy and proud of the work we have put into ‘Om’.”

Heaping praises on her co-star Aditya, she says, “Adi as a co-star is unmatchable, in the sense that there is so much room and respect for what you want to create out of your character. He and I share an immense comfort in being able to express anything that’s on our mind with respect to the scenes or our characters, which just kind of helping each other to improve performances.”

“I know that even if he is trying to criticise my performance, it’s coming from a good place and that’s why as a co-star he is unmatchable in many ways. As I said, it’s awkward for me to give him such a big compliment. I’m great to experience such an awesome journey that we are on with ‘Om’,” she adds.
