Nitesh Pandey (51) is no more. His wife Arpita Pandey is in absolute shock and unable to talk to her family members. Pandey, who was shooting in Igatpuri, suffered a cardiac arrest last night at 2 am and died almost immediately. Police are at the hotel where he breathed his last and are inquiring as to what exactly transpired as they want to check if any foul play was involved. A post-mortem report is awaited.

Nitesh Pandey was best-known for the film ‘Om Shanti Om’ wherein he played Shah Rukh Khan’s assistant. Nitesh was a familiar face in TV serials too, currently he was playing Dheeraj Kumar in ‘Anupamaa’. ETimes TV had brought the report of Nitesh’s death FIRST and EXCLUSIVE.

A few minutes ago, we spoke to the ‘OSO’ director Farah Khan. Farah told ETimes, “I was very shocked to hear about Nitesh passing away. We worked together in ‘OSO’ and I have good memories of him. He was always ready to improvise and had a good energy on the set. My condolences to his family.”

Nitesh Pandey’s brother-in-law Siddharth Nagar, when contacted by us this morning, had told us, “My brother-in-law is no more. My sister Arpita is in a state of shock,” adding, “We have gone absolutely numb. Nitesh was a very lively person. I don’t think he had a history of any heart ailment.”
Nitesh was earlier married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar who is now married to actor Murli Sharma. Nitesh and Ashwini were married for about 4 years.
