Meanwhile, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah on Thursday announced to ban Hindi films from screening in Nepal’s capital until a portion of dialogue ‘Janaki is a daughter of India’ is removed from Adipurush. He gave a three-day deadline to make the changes.

However, Nepal’s Film Censor Board has said that it has given permission to release the film only after cutting the portion of dialogue that describes Sita as daughter of India. The film is all set to be screened in Nepal from Friday.

According to trade experts, Adipurush is eyeing a bumper opening at the box office with a business close to Rs 80-85 crore. The movie stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana.
