The Pakistan cricket team, led by Babar Azam, arrived in India at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Wednesday (September 27) amidst tight security. The Men in Green, will be staying in the city for two weeks before commencing their World Cup campaign on October 6. Prior to their first two matches in the round-robin stage of the tournament, they will engage in a couple of warm-up matches in the capital of Telangana.
During their first visit to India in seven years, the Pakistani team was overwhelmed by the warm welcome they received. However, a report from PTI has shed light on their dietary arrangements during their stay in the city. According to the report, which claims to have access to the teams’ diet chart, beef will not be served to any of the ten teams participating in the world event. Instead, Pakistan will be offered a delectable selection of lamb chops, mutton curry, butter chicken, and grilled fish.
In addition, the team has taken into consideration their carbohydrate intake and has made specific requests to the catering staff. They have asked for steamed basmati rice and spaghetti in Bolognese sauce. Additionally, a vegetarian Pulao will be served to the Pakistan team.
Furthermore, to provide some variety and indulgence during their stay, the team will also be treated to a few cheat meals. One of the highlights will be the famous Hyderabadi biryani, known for its rich flavors and aromatic spices.
After their stay in Hyderabad, the Pakistan team will travel to Ahmedabad for a highly anticipated match against India. The excitement continues as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata are among the other Indian cities that will host Pakistan’s matches in the World Cup.
