Nothing Phone (1) will cost more now, here’s why – Times of India
A month after Carl Pei’s Nothing unveiled its first phone – the Nothing Phone (1) – the company says its first ever phone received an overwhelming response from its community and buyers in India.
However, that is not the only news Nothing has to share. Roughly a month after its launch, the company is increasing the price of Phone (1) in India. The prices of three storage models have been hiked by Rs 1,000 in the country. Nothing says that the price has been increased due to the “rising currency exchange rates and rising components cost.”
The Nothing Phone (1) was initially launched for Rs 32,999 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant, which will now cost Rs 33,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB which were priced at Rs 36,999 and Rs 38,999 will now be retailing for Rs 37,999 and Rs 39,999, respectively.
There has been no change in the prices of accessories so far. The 45W power adapter comes for Rs 2,499. Furthermore, the Nothing Phone (1) tempered glass protector and case are priced at Rs 999 and Rs 1,499, respectively.
Nothing’s first phone has been surrounded by some controversies and it has been out of stock lately. So, if you were waiting to grab one, Phone (1) will be available for purchase on August 22 at 12PM. However, remember that it will now be available at Rs 33,999.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, a 4500mAh battery and a 50MP+50MP camera setup. The main highlight of the smartphone is the Glyph interface, a series of multiple LEDs etched on the phone’s back.
