Nordstrom Kicked Off NYFW With a Decadent Dinner Party Hosted by Tonne Good and Rickie de Sole

Happy New York Fashion Week! Kicking off the week’s awaited festivities, Nordstrom gathered friends and fashion folk to celebrate the brand’s fall 2022 campaign curated by Rickie de Sole with Tonne Goodman. For one night only, the West Village’s American Bar was decked out in framed prints from the star-studded campaign featuring Shalom Harlow, Joan Smalls, and Meghan Roche, all of whom were in attendance for the special evening. 

Champagne and caviar greeted notable guests, including Pete Nordstrom, Erik Nordstrom, Sam Lobban, Gigi Ganatra, Marina Larroude, Sintra Martins, Emily Bode, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, MoAnA Luu, Meredith Melling, Jorden Bickham, Lauren Godfrey Harwell, Charlotte Groeneveld, Tina Leung, Lynn Yaeger, Indre Rockefeller, and Vogue’s Virginia Smith, Chioma Nnadi, and Karla Martinez de Salas upon arrival. 

Even with their highly anticipated debuts on the horizon, NYFW designers like Brandon Maxwell, Veronica Swanson Beard, Veronica Miele Beard, Hillary Taymour, Wes Gordon, Fernando Garcia, and LaQuan Smith all stopped by to toast the brains behind the beautiful campaign. 

Before the first course was served, de Sole stood to say a few words. “Thank you all for your support, and first and foremost, thank you, Pete and Erik for welcoming me into the Nordstrom family,” de Sole began. “Tonight is a celebration of the campaign, which was really made possible by Tonne Goodman. Tonne was my first boss at Vogue, I was actually her intern. So, when the task came up to shoot this, without question, you were the first person that I called and I owe so much to you.” 

Of course, all the American Bar fan favorites were on the menu of the night, including crispy artichokes, tuna tartare, cobb salad, and lobster pasta. For the rest of the month, the downtown hot spot will take a trip uptown with the opening of the American Bar pop-up located on Nordstrom’s third floor. Now’s the time to order a side of fries while shopping for your fall wardrobe must-haves.
