Nora Fatehi’s chats with conman Sukesh Chandrashekar show they were discussing luxury car gifts – Times of India

Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi has been under the scanner for her alleged involvement with conman Sukesh Chandrashekar, who is involved in a Rs 200-crore money laundering case.

In the latest update on the case, a few chats between Nora and Sukesh were accessed by Indiatoday.in. The messages exchanged between the two see them chatting over selecting a luxury car.

“Do you like this?” Sukesh asks the actress while showing her a picture of a Range Rover.

“Yes, it’s a nice rough use car. It’s cute, it’s a statement car,” she replied which had the accused offering to show her more options.

In another chat accessed by the portal, Sukesh asks Nora to speak with him to ‘clarify’ details. Concerned about the actress’ agency questioning the gift, he reportedly said, “I want to make it clear that it’s not being given with any kind of motive, but only because when you like a person, you give them gifts. Doing it for that reason only, nothing else.”

The ED, that is investigating the case summoned and questioned Nora a few times at their office. The actress had appeared before the central agency in New Delhi in October to record her statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Nora has maintained that the car was gifted to her by Sukesh’s wife Leena Maria in exchange for participating in an event in Chennai. She also claimed that she was a ‘victim’ in the case and not involved in money laundering of any kind.

The ED, which is tasked with recovering the proceeds of crime, is likely to attach the BMW that was given to the actress back in 2020.

On Friday, ETimes learnt that the ED officers will soon be summoning some more Bollywood actresses and performers, as part of their investigation. Some of these yet unknown celebrities have allegedly had financial transactions with Sukesh, which the ED may want to probe and those celebs are likely to be summoned.

The celebrities are likely to be summoned for questioning over the next week.
