Nitin Gadkari to be chief guest at 29th Convergence India and 7th Smart Cities India Expo

Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari will be appearing as chief guest at India’s largest technology and infrastructure expo -the 29th Convergence India and 7th Smart Cities India Expo.

Held at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan and organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and Exhibitions India Group (EIG), the expo will take place between 23rd and 25th March.

The Convergence India expo is aimed at bringing together technology innovations and trends from the telecom and mobile and broadcast and digital media industries under one roof and provides an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss the latest trends and disruptions impacting various industry verticals. The expo will also host the most innovative startups in a dedicated startup hub.

This year’s expo will focus on the shift towards a digital world that has led to new use cases around OTT, Satcom, IoT, FinTech, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, AI, Big Data & Analytics, Embedded Technology, Digital Gaming, etc. integrating technology with the key pillars of urban development, i.e. green buildings, energy, transport, clean environment, and water, for optimising resources and making cities smart and sustainable.
